Keeshond World was started several years ago when we got our first Keeshond. Her name was Harper. She was the best dog. She brought joy and happiness where ever she went. Harper was tiny at two lbs and at Eight months old she developed a genetic condition that would not let her body regulate its blood sugar. Even on iv dextrose and supplemental injections, her sugar would just not balance. We battled for 4 days. I was with her 24/7 and she had 4 doctors working on her case. On the fourth day she started to be able to stand and even eat a little. She was strong enough to give me kisses for the first time. Then with no warning, she was gone. We were devastated. I have never had a pom before and we committed ourselves to spread the joy this magical breed brings. We strive to breed pups with no life threatening genetic defects and we never see a pup under 3 lbs. Keeshond World was started in loving memory of our tiny brave Harper.

We are small breeders, and choose to raise our puppies in our home as part of our family. We strive to breed Keeshonds of exceptional temperament, health, structure, movement, soundness, and type. We breed to the AKC Keeshond Breed Standard to produce quality. We perform structural evaluations of all of our puppies and adults, and believe in genetic testing to better the breed as well. We routinely do OFA and Thyroid testing on breeding stock.

Our Keeshond puppies are health tested in accordance with the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program, and have also received a full Embark panel.  Our Dogs are raised in the home with us, and are treated as part of our family.  Our Keeshonds are AKC registered.  Our puppies go home with up to date shots, microchip, de-worming, vet check, puppy contract & health guarantee, and a puppy goody bag that includes a blankie & toy that smell like it's littermates, harness & leash, treats, sample food, and more.  We breed for personality, health, and the AKC standard.
